Score hire for orchestral music
After the premiere of his compositions Prinzessin auf der Erbse and Das Hässliche Entlein (after two fairy tales by Hans Christian Andersen), Swiss Composer Andreas Pflüger was so enthusiastic about the first performance by the Kammersymphonie Berlin, that he handed over to the ensemble the rights to give on loan the music score of the work.
The instrumentation (flute, oboe, clarinet, basoon, french horn, trumpet, percussion, two violins, viola, cello, double-bass) includes all important orchestral instruments and can be played either as soloparts or in a chorus.
Both works are in one movement and have a playing time of seven minutes (Prinzessin auf der Erbse) respectively around 40 minutes (Das Hässliche Entlein). A story teller is part of both compositions
In a concert under the direction of Jürgen Bruns during the Berlin Fairy Tale Festival (Berliner Märchentage), the Kammersymphonie Berlin had premiered the entertaining orchestral pieces together with famous actress Corinna Harfouch as the storytelling voice.
The concert was recorded by DeutschlandRadio Kultur and will be released on CD by Capriccio in autumn 2006.
